Purrs and Prayers Needed #CaturdayArt
I haven't been well this past week and I am hoping you can all send me purrs, prayers and healing vibes.
I went to the vet on Monday and Friday because all week I was fluctuating between feeling OK one minute and being ill the next.
To cut a long story short before Mum loses her mind I have a urinary tract infection and I had some tests and may need more next week. You see the vet says I may have crystals or stones in my bladder and the tests will determine how they will be treated. I may need an operation.
Mum is sick with worry but trying hard to be strong while taking care of me. Please pray and purr for me, dear furriends.
Here is a quick arty photo of me.

Sending Healing Purrs to the World #wednesdaywisdom
We hope our post finds you well.
I am sending healing purrs to the world because we need to help raise the vibration. The world is changing in a horrifying way right now and so us kitties have to purr all over the Earth to send love and healing energy to everyone who needs it right now.
Mum is a Reiki healer and is sending healing thoughts and light. Yes, she's panicking and her anxiety level is through the roof, but she also has moments of calm (she's not anxious all day, for example). When she has those moments she sends healing green light to the world.
Maybe you can all do it too?
Cat friends, you already know that you have the power to heal in your purr energy.
Let's send healing now.
Love, light and purrs xx

Sunday Selfie: Taking Care of Mum
She says she finds everything overwhelming and being online all day, I'm not surprised. But she misses you all and hates not being able to visit as many of you as she would like. But she needs to rest.
Thank you for understanding xx

Healing Purrs Can Heal the Pain #wednesdaywisdom
Here I am trying to make my mum smile after she heard about George Michael's passing on Christmas Day. Actually, it was night here in England when the news broke, just as we were going to bed. She had been feeling pretty uneasy all day, too many thoughts playing on her mind. That's my mum, she thinks too much! But who knows? Maybe she sensed the bad news that was coming later?
She had checked Twitter just before going upstairs to bed. She had been concerned about another legend from her youth, Carrie Fisher, who had suffered a heart attack and had been in intensive care for a few days.
But instead the first tweet Mum saw was a tweet stating that George Michael had passed away in his sleep earlier that day. Deeply shocked and saddened, understandably, Mum couldn't sleep. I didn't want her to drink more than she had already done that day, which was only a couple of glasses of wine (Mum really doesn't drink much booze because she once had a problem with it.) In the pic above I am being extra cute and lovable because I could clearly see she wasn't calm enough to sleep.
George Michael
Mum was 16 when she first became a fan of George and Wham, so he had been a part of her life for many years - inspiring her to sing and to write songs. She went to many of his gigs. It was her life back then - music, music, music! Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, Paul Young, who with George Michael, were her fave artists back then. Until she discovered rock and metal that is... But that's another story. But Mum is a true music fan and is no music snob so she is proud of her eclectic taste and the wonderful music that had helped her escape during the difficult times growing up.George was a sensitive, caring soul and so talented as a singer-songwriter. He was also extremely generous and donated so much of his fortune to charity. And he was an animal lover too. His last public act was to offer his support to the Blue Cross campaign regarding puppy farms.
We listened to Mum's favourite George Michael CD yesterday - Listen Without Prejudice. The following two songs were hauntingly beautiful.George Michael's last public act was to support Blue Cross campaign against puppy farms https://t.co/JwGDngeFMK #GeorgeMichael pic.twitter.com/OR8ZvBYwtj— GreenWorldTV (@GWTVAnimalNews) December 26, 2016
#GM had a voice that would transport u, he was the finest singer/songwriter of his generation & has left the best of himself 4 us. RIP GM xx pic.twitter.com/Gjcp55Chei— Andrew Ridgeley (@ajridgeley) December 26, 2016
Carrie Fisher
So yesterday Mum was shocked to hear about the passing of another of her childhood icons - the lovely Carrie Fisher, Princess Leia in Star Wars. Carrie wasn't just Leia, but also a talented writer. And a very funny lady with a dog that apparently doesn't like cats. Never mind, I can forgive him for that. Mum and I feel devastated for him, little Gary who has lost his Mum 💜Saddest tweets to tweet. Mommy is gone. I love you @carrieffisher— Carrie Fisher's Dog (@Gary_TheDog) December 27, 2016
I'll still be waiting for you....... pic.twitter.com/ef461OcqKJ— Carrie Fisher's Dog (@Gary_TheDog) December 27, 2016
Mum tells me that a long time ago (not in a galaxy far away), when she was 11 or 12, she was a big Star Wars fan. She used to dress up as Princess Leia and act out scenes from the film. Unfortunately, we have no photographic evidence to share.Coolest dog ever posing with the coolest human ever #RIPCarrie #CarrieFisher pic.twitter.com/dl1kx5iTAK— Carrie Fisher's Dog (@Gary_TheDog) December 28, 2016
Mum says she was bullied at school for liking this brilliant film. Not by boys, but girls. Ha! Let me scratch their eyes out now!
How dare you laugh at my mum for having such a vivid imagination and daring to be different. Mum has never been a sheep... Where are you sheep now, I wonder?
But Mum does have fond memories of her childhood whenever she thinks of Star Wars and it will always remain one of her favourite films of all time.
Such a sad loss of two beautiful souls.
Rest in Peace

HAPPY SUNDAY!

The pic makes Mum nostalgic and sad. Her daddy passed away almost 6 years ago now, before I came into her life. Before I was even born, actually. Today I am sending lots of healing purrs to my Mum and to everyone whose daddies have passed on (both animals and non-human). Remember, they will always be with you. The soul never dies xx

HAPPY SUNDAY!
I am taking it easy on mum's lap today (that's if she can sit still for long enough).
Why are humans always rushing around? She says she's busy but I can see how stressed she gets. She has a lot of worries about the house move. She hates that it's taking so long and being stuck in a chain. Like most people, she finds it frustrating. All I can do is offer her lots of love and healing purrs.
Do you like to sleep on your human's lap? Is your human always stressed?
Maybe some of you haven't seen this video of me before so I'm sharing it again! Hear my healing purrs!

Happy Caturday!
Keeping it simple this week. All Mum did was add the chromatic effect on BeFunky and then chose a grunge frame as a final touch.
We also have a new video for you today. Just listen to my purrs full of love!

Wordy Whiskers Wednesday
A bit of a wordy Wednesday today. I know we are posting rather a lot of videos lately, but I'm afraid Mum's become quite obsessed. She's like that you know. She can go through months dry of any inspiration and then suddenly BOOM! A wave of creativity hits and she cannot stop. It doesn't last long though. She will eventually wind down, I promise you, and then she'll just want to retreat into her cave (our bedroom), dive under the duvet and will probably not have another urge to create for months.
I do however continue to be a great source of inspiration and comfort for her. Apart from being a very photogenic cat and advising her on what to blog about, I am also there to provide the soothing purrs and huge love and affection I know she needs to feel better. I encourage her to take naps in the afternoon with me when things become overwhelming for her. And of course I provide endless laughter with my crazy antics and the funny faces I like to pull occasionally. I love hearing her laugh!
So I think I should let her off for sharing this embarrassing video of me rolling around ecstatically on her bath towel (it smells of mummy and that's great, but it also has the scent of lavender oil from her bath).
Lavender might not be for everyone (many associate it with Granny smells and Mum isn't old enough). Well, she is actually, but don't tell her that. Lavender is very good for depression and aids restful sleep, which is why she likes to add a few drops to her bath. The towel seems to have absorbed it though, hence my delight.
Anyway, let's end this rather wordy Wednesday post with the video, shall we? Hope it makes your humans smile too. I give you the permission to laugh at me, a goddess. It's OK. I am happy to provide fun entertainment for my friends, readers and fans.
ENJOY AND SHARE!

Wordless Wednesday
Mum says he was quite an animal lover. Well, he really loved horses and he was always very kind and loving towards Mum's other cats.
Mum believes that he sent me to her because she was very sad and depressed after he passed away.
So today I am going to be extra busy giving Mum extra loving cuddles and purrs to soothe her hurting soul.
Here I am on her lap purring my magic healing on her...

10 Ways a Cat and Her Human Mum Show Their Love For One Another
A photo posted by Athena (@athenawisekitty) on
As you can see, Mum and I are totally in love with each other. Here are some of the ways we show our love for one another.
1 Cuddles
We love to cuddle. Mum is always cuddling me. And because I love her I let her hug me tight. If I'm not in the mood I soon let her know though! Cuddles and Snuggles under the duvet on a cold day (and night) are just the best.
2 Purrs I purr all the time to show Mum how much she means to me and how happy she makes me. I also purr to calm her when she's stressed. This calms me too.
3 Eye gaze/slow blink We gaze at each other. A lot. And then I slow blink at her. Mum has learned to do this too back to me.A photo posted by Athena (@athenawisekitty) on
4 We listen to each other I let Mum talk to me when she needs to. Sometimes she needs to complain and she has a lot on her mind. She feels misunderstood a lot of the time by humans so she finds me far more understanding.
5 Take care of each other We always look out for each other and there is never a moment when we are not thinking of each other.
6 Play together We have lots of fun playing games, as you can see from this video below, and this oneA photo posted by Athena (@athenawisekitty) on
7 Sleep together We share a big bed and I love to snuggle up against her at night, especially when it's very cold. Sometimes I crawl under the duvet for a nice cuddle.
8 Heal each other My purrs heal my mum, but she also gives me Reiki healing which is great for me too.A photo posted by Athena (@athenawisekitty) on
9 Take lots of selfies together
10 I like to lick my mum's hand and arm, as you can see from this video.
