Melt Your Heart Monday

Happy Monday!

We hope your Monday is stress free but even if you have a lot of stress in your life, or suffer from depression like my mum, I'm sure your pet helps you enormously. We don't need any scientific facts to prove what animal lovers have known all along, do we?

Animals, especially those you choose to share your home with, are great relievers of stress and can help people with mental health issues like depression and anxiety cope better.

Here is a short clip of me helping Mum with her stress and anxiety issues the other day.

Watch on YouTube if you can't view it here.

Melt Your Heart Monday

Happy Monday!

Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Weekend. We are still in a loving mood and simply cannot stop sharing the love so here we have the most amazing video we found on YouTube! It's of a beautiful mum cat talking to and taking care of her gorgeous adorable kittens. Yes, we know that at 19 minutes it's a bit long but really, we are sure you can take a few minutes out of your day to de-stress a little. It'll do you good, human!

I have to admit, I'm not liking my Mum's fascination with this video. She should be busy making and editing more videos of me for my own channel. Have you subscribed yet? Go on, it only takes a moment!

Have a great day everyone!

For humans, it means back to reality for you all. Holidays are over and January must be the most boring depressing month ever.

Well, here is an adorable video of cats showing their love for their humans to melt your heart with happiness.

Furry friends, how do you express your love for your human?

10 Ways a Cat and Her Human Mum Show Their Love For One Another

We know everyone is feeling the love this Valentine Week, but it's important to note (as we know many of you animal lovers do), that Valentine's Day is not only about romantic love. Why should it be? As a wise kitty goddess I am here to tell you that love, and certainly 'purrfect' love can be found with your adorable and adoring pets. So let us celebrate this beautiful love!

As you can see, Mum and I are totally in love with each other. Here are some of the ways we show our love for one another.

1 Cuddles
We love to cuddle. Mum is always cuddling me. And because I love her I let her hug me tight. If I'm not in the mood I soon let her know though! Cuddles and Snuggles under the duvet on a cold day (and night) are just the best.

2 Purrs I purr all the time to show Mum how much she means to me and how happy she makes me. I also purr to calm her when she's stressed. This calms me too.
3 Eye gaze/slow blink We gaze at each other. A lot. And then I slow blink at her. Mum has learned to do this too back to me.

4 We listen to each other I let Mum talk to me when she needs to. Sometimes she needs to complain and she has a lot on her mind. She feels misunderstood a lot of the time by humans so she finds me far more understanding.

5 Take care of each other We always look out for each other and there is never a moment when we are not thinking of each other.

6 Play together We have lots of fun playing games, as you can see from this video below, and this one

7 Sleep together We share a big bed and I love to snuggle up against her at night, especially when it's very cold. Sometimes I crawl under the duvet for a nice cuddle.
8 Heal each other My purrs heal my mum, but she also gives me Reiki healing which is great for me too.

9 Take lots of selfies together

10 I like to lick my mum's hand and arm, as you can see from this video.

On My Own Terms: How I Like To Be Petted

The following video from Jackson Galaxy got me thinking about how I like to be petted.

.

I don't have any problems with Mum petting me as she has the best hands ever and she is gentle and loving with her petting and stroking. She is sensitive to my needs and always knows when I've had enough of the stroking. She also has healing hands, and I love it so much. Sometimes I just want to have her give me Reiki because it feels so good!

Unfortunately, there are some people that just have no idea about how to stroke a cat.  Ever been stroked by a really rough heavy hand? Oh, no thanks! Please go away, heavy handed person. You obviously haven't a clue what a cat likes. Especially a lady goddess like myself.

What I like is lots of gentleness. Lots of soft energy. Sometimes I jump onto Mum's lap and just sink down and enjoy all the petting. I purr so happily and this makes her pet me more. I show her how much I like it by turning up to look at her and then I give her my super-loving heartmelting gaze. We are then in this bubble of healing loving light.

So here is what I don't like again: Rough petting from smelly hands. Hard and pushy so that it feels like I'm being pressed down into the ground. Don't pet me after you've been petting another cat. Wash your hands first! Actually, wash your hands anyway because I don't know where they've been!

Wordless Wednesday Wisdom

OK, well Mum and I were having a talk about this blog the other day and we realised that even though I am a wise cat, I haven't been sharing much wisdom with my readers, which is a bit embarrassing to say the least. So having come to that conclusion, we will now start giving you some weekly wisdom. We were going to call this post Wednesday Wisdom as it has a nice ring to it due to the alliteration thing going on. Unfortunately, it clashed with the Wordless Wednesday hop, so in the end we decided to add the Wisdom to Wordless Wednesday (which sounds good too!)

This week's kitty wisdom:

Worried about never finding your soulmate? Well, have you looked into your fur baby's eyes? Perhaps in this life your soulmate just happens to have paws.

A soulmate connection doesn't necessarily have to be a romantic one. It could be a friend, parent, son, daughter.... or your little furry four-legged friend.

Keeping busy...

Trying to catch up on some sleep...
And some sun...

And after yesterday's disturbing picture of me looking very scared at the cattery I am happy to report that all is fine here and I am feeling safe, settled, very loved and content. My mum has been wonderful and has devoted most of her time to my needs, which is as it should be of course!

I love my mum so much and I really thought I'd lost her for good.

Great to be home again!
