In this photo I'm gazing out of the window waiting for those birdies to appear. It's getting warm now so I'll be popping out into my catio once Mum opens the window.

Here's a little video of me in my catio enjoying some sun and listening to birds singing but then I was rudely interrupted by a noisy droning car and airplane.
Today's Sunday Selfie is a still from my latest YouTube video and Instagram reel (scroll down to view). Sorry the quality isn't that great for photos and video. It was evening and Mum likes the light at her desk to be low.
I always like to jump on her lap for some snuggles and kisses before hopping over to the bed, which is next to the desk, to take a nap while she's busy doing what she does on the computer.
21st July 2011 is the day I got adopted. Mum saw a pic of me on the Woodgreen website and came to see me the next day. It was love at first sight and the rest is history! How could she resist me anyway? I was such a cute little tabby kitty!
Mum put together this video for you to watch and enjoy. Just some clips of me as a kitten and other highlights. Visit my youtube channel to see more videos of me and subscribe!
If you are visiting my blog for the first time and want to know more about my story you can read about it in my book A Forever Home For Athena.
Here is the video

As you can see I am resting on the sofa, leaning against the cushion. I am going to take a nap.
The photo below is a photo fail because my eyes are out of focus. Mum is such a purrfectionist!
I think this photo looks OK and there are so many others she could have chosen for the fail 😻

1. In the 90s, between the ages of 27 to 32 is the drunkest I have ever been. It was my wildest time. I suppose I got tired of being an introvert but now I celebrate it.
2. I really hate going to the shops. Since Covid, I do all my shopping online now.
3. While most people enjoy roasting in the sun, I would hate it.
4. I’m glad that the Internet was invented. It's great for introverts like me but like almost everything in life it has a dark side.

1. Getting rescued by Mum is the happiest I have ever been. I think I chose the right human mum.
2. I really hate going to the vet. Mum hates going to the human vet. She forgot to mention it above.
3. While most people seem to prefer dogs, I am here to prove that cats make the best pets.

Welcome to the Caturday Art Blog Hop where pet bloggers show off creative photos of their adorable animals!
As promised, here is the completed video of my first day in my catio. It's taken 2 weeks for Mum to create and upload this onto YouTube and I'm happy with it. It's just clips of me shot over 2 days, but the catio was very new to me and an experience I'm still getting used to. It's been quite cold here too so haven't been out in it much. Hope you enjoy and don't forget to share!😻
Here is the link to the video on YouTube. While you're there how about you check out my channel and subscribe! I really need more subscribers and a wise kitty goddess shouldn't need to beg.
It's also Best Friends Day! I'm Mum's best friend and she is mine 💕

As a rescue kitty I want to help other rescue cats find their forever home, so we are continuing our new weekly feature for Charity Tuesday, sharing adoptable cats from Wood Green, the Animal Charity (which is where I was rescued). We are so grateful to this amazing charity because without them we would never have found each other! It's also one of the main charities we support.
Jack is looking for his forever retirement home. Although he can be a little shy at first, once settled, he is an affectionate boy and a real lap-cat. Contact the Heydon centre if you are interested in adopting him.
Monty came in as a stray. He is a friendly boy and enjoys fuss and attention from his humans. He also loves a lap to sit on. Interested in adopting him? Find out more here
Miu is a bit on the large side and loves her food so she will need to lose a few pounds. She would prefer a nice quiet home and loves to snooze away the day on your lap. She is at the Heydon centre.

As we are going to be moving house soon and I am filled with trepidation (and so is my stressy mum) here is a photo of me not looking too good.
I always look good of course, because I am a cat, and a goddess one at that, but what I mean is this pic above shows me to be looking a bit worried. Yes, I am a brave kitty and a wise one as well as beautiful, but when it comes to strangers coming into my private space I am not happy about my territory being invaded. I know when we are expecting viewers for the house because Mum and Granny start tidying up more than usual and open the curtains wide to let in more light (Mum is sensitive to light so likes to keep a lot of sunlight out). They start getting all fidgety and this stresses me out even more. I know my mum tries her best to act normal but she fails big time because I'm a cat and highly sensitive to energies, especially to my mum's energy. So she bought this very expensive thingie called Feliway Diffuser Pack 48mland also Feliway Pheromone Spray, 20 ml in the hope that it'll help me. It is meant to calm me and she reckons it's starting to work a bit. She also gives me Reiki healing (but only after she's done some self-healing to relax her).
We will continue to keep you updated on this adventure (that's what Mum is calling it.) In the meantime, you can watch our new video that Mum filmed after the first viewer came to see the house. Mum says she hates filming herself talking, and that's why she appears really nervous in it. It's also the first time she has published a video of herself talking to camera.
Today we are having some cartoon fun. Mum used the cartoonizer filter in BeFunky for my photo, and as a special treat for you all my latest youtube video has been given the same treatment (but in Adobe Premiere Elements).
Here is the same video without the cartoon effect!
