Happy Sunday! 

I look like I'm laughing in this selfie, but in actual fact I was yawning. Mum helped me make it black and white because she thought it would look nicer as there were too many colours going on in the flowery cushion Granny made for me to sleep on. The chair is all mine and Granny and Mum call it my throne. And they are right! As this selfie is in black and white I am also joining Sugar and Nola for the Black and White Sunday Hop.

This is our New Year card. We are hoping for lots of purrs, peace and love in the world and for all the innocent animals and decent humans. It is about time we took care of our beautiful garden (the world) and each other. We are here to share this planet, it does not just belong to one species (the humans who think themselves so superior to other earthlings.)

Sunday Selfie Special: #WetnoseDay

Today's selfie is of the two of us, and as you can see, Mum is wearing her Wetnose Day nose for National Wetnose Day. 

Sorry if I look a bit grumpy here, but Mum woke me up to pose for this selfie.

What is National Wetnose Day?

This is an annual event, organised by Wetnose Animal Aid, a non-profit organisation set up in 2000 to support the smaller animal rescue centres in the UK. On Friday 25th September 2015 everyone is invited to join in the fun to help raise funds and awareness for this very important cause.

Pose With a Nose

A fun way to show your support is to buy a nose (available from the Wetnose website) and to take a photo of yourself posing with your nose (don't forget to include your pet in the picture too!). You can then raise awareness by sharing your pic on social media.

Unfortunately, as this is a UK based charity, noses can't be delivered overseas, but you can still help this fab cause by promoting it on social media.

Pet Blogger Challenge: Our Selfie Entry for Pawtraits Competition

This is one of our favourite photos.

It may not be quite the high quality of our most recent shots, but we just think that it's quite unique and original and shows the close bond between pet and owner, mother and cat daughter.

Athena was still a kitten when this was taken back in the autumn of 2011. I was tapping away on my laptop at my desk (or most probably surfing the internet) when suddenly I felt a wet tongue (or maybe it was her little nose) on my ear lobe.

I quickly reached for my Blackberry phone which was close at hand and took the picture. If you look closely on the bed you see my then digital camera was nearby too, but obviously too far for me to reach.

Many people have commented that it looks as if Athena is whispering to me on this photo. I think it does too, which makes it even more sweet.

We are sharing this photograph because it is our entry into the  Animal Friends Pet Pawtraits competition, which is open to pet bloggers who are residents of the UK, Ireland and European Union.

The closing date is March 14th, so we'd better hurry and email it to them!
