Caturday Art: New Year Eve!
HAPPY CATURDAY!
Yes, I know New Year's Eve is tomorrow but I wanted to post this cool photo art today 😻
First, Mum and I would love to thank you all for being here and for participating in our arty blog hop. We are happy to note that we do in fact get a good turn out, more than we ever imagined. However, we could do with a few more I think. I mean, I should get more entries, don't you think, seeing as I am a beautiful cat goddess that would love to get famous faster. And not for selfish reasons, actually, but the more successful I get, the more I can help other rescue pets out there.
So,if you can, please share this post to help us get more entries to this weekly hop. And you don't have to be a cat or cat person to join, dogs and other animals are allowed too!
To those that take the time to participate every week, thank you so much. But even if you don't, we love all our friends and followers, and appreciate each and every one of you, and love it when you leave a comment.
Many times Mum has been really down, especially during the last year, so she wants you to know that your support has helped her cope with the pressure of living as a human in an often unkind world. You guys have shown her the opposite, that there are decent, kind, folk out there.

Sunday Selfie: Last Christmas
Wow, it's almost Christmas and even Mum is starting to get into the festive spirit by playing some of her fave Christmas music. She thinks most Christmas songs are cheesy but she does like a few to get her in the festive mood. One of her all-time faves is Wham's "Last Christmas" and guess what, it's mine too now!
Ever since George Michael's passing last year on Christmas Day, Mum has been listening to all her old Wham and George Michael CDs as she was a big fan back in the day. I've said before that Mum loves most types of music and has eclectic taste, but I have to say I've never been that keen on the heavy metal and rock she tends to love. However, I have definitely fallen in love with George Michael's soothing velvety voice and I love listening to him while I nap. I love most of his songs! He was a good soul too, very kind and helped a lot of people and animals. He donated to charities anonymously (unlike most celebs who like to make a big song and dance about it).
So guess what I'm dreaming of in this frosty Christmassy selfie today (well, not quite a selfie I know because Mum took it). I am dreaming that in honour of George Michael I want this lovely song to be No.1 in the UK charts this Christmas. It would be great!

Mum tells me that "Last Christmas" was originally released in 1984 and never actually made it to No, 1 in the UK because Band Aid’s "Do They Know It’s Christmas" (another fav of Mum's) was released and took the top spot (all for a good cause). However, Wham's classic Christmas offering did make No.2.
There is now a campaign run by fans of George Michael to make Last Christmas the Christmas No 1 oF 2017.

Caturday Art: Some Of My Christmas Card Designs
Happy Caturday!
Well, Christmas is almost upon us and so I would like to share some of our Christmas Card designs as Mum's been too busy to find the time to design some art for today's hop. Also, she hasn't been feeling too well and the stress is getting to her again so she isn't blogging as much as she used to or would like.
But don't worry, I'm looking after her and she is looking after me. Hopefully, we'll get to have a little rest over the Christmas holidays as it doesn't look like we will be moving anytime soon. Another problem has cropped regarding the sale of the house that will likely delay the move (or worse, put a stop to it altogether). Mum never has it easy and it's not fair. Always struggling...
Oh well, I suppose it's like that for everyone. But some are able to cope more than others.

Maki and her siblings were picked up from one of the main colonies by a volunteer. These sweet babies were just so young to be on their own and were very weak, thin and sickly. The first week it was touch and go, however over the weeks they started to grow and become lively, healthy little fun-loving. kitties.

Snowday Selfie
Happy Sunday!
It snowed today in London and as it's been a while everyone is getting excited. Some children down our road have never seen snow before I believe. and were out early playing and enjoying it all.
I don't remember seeing any snow either. Well, only once when I was a kitten, and Mum has this photo to prove it as you can see.

In the photo below I was curious this morning to see the world turning white. But as I'm really not that bothered about snow, it doesn't really excite me like it does Mum. The thing is I just hate to feel cold so all I wanted to do today was snuggle indoors, preferably on Mum's warm comfy lap, but she's been too busy rushing around putting stuff into boxes.
What can that mean, I wonder?🙀

These two black and white selfies below have nothing to do with snow as they were taken earlier this week when Mum had been feeling very stressed and so needed a cuddle with me. I always make her feel better. Nothing beats pure kitty love. 💖😽

Stray cat Jimmy was brought in to the Heydon centre of Wood Green by a very kind lady and would now love to find a new home before Christmas so he can snuggle on the sofa, enjoy a little bit of turkey and have his own Christmas present to unwrap! Jimmy is a very loving and friendly boy who deserves a forever family/home of his own! If you would like to know more about him check out his profile here!

And from Cyprus, we have little Meli from Friends of Larnaca Cats.
Meli and his siblings were picked up from one of the main colonies in Cyprus by a volunteer who was there feeding. Still very young to be on their own, and very weak, thin and sickly, the first week was touch and go. But over the next few weeks, they have grown and become lively and fun-loving little kittens.
Meli is a big softie both in personality and with a stroke of his silky fur. He is blind in one eye due to an infection he had as a kitten, but it doesn't bother him and he plays and cuddles just like all the other kittens! Find out more about him here!
