From folk-rock band Blackmore's Night (Richie Blackmore & Candice Night). This song was originally written by Henry VIII.

NIGHTWISH -Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan

Nightwish is a symphonic metal band from Finland but they only actually have 4 songs sung in Finnish (I think) 

Here are two, sung by the first lead vocalist of this awesome band, Tarja Turunen.

So off to YouTube she went and found this...

BLACK SABBATH - Children of the Grave

Is this too gloomy to start with? Well, Mum loves Black Sabbath and here is one of their best! It's quite groovy as well as rocky :)

Something more gently now with Blackmore's Night. If you don't know, this is Deep Purple and Rainbow legend Richie Blackmore with his wife Candice Night.

Let's just drift away with this classic by the Fab Four from Liverpool!

 

BANANARAMA - Shy Boy

Back to the 80s with this old fave of Mum's.

BLONDIE - Heart of Glass

A classic from Blondie (Mum used to swirl around and sing to this)

BON JOVI - You Give Love a Bad Name

Time for more rock. Just look at that hair!

THE BYRDS - Mr. Tambourine Man

Let's drift back to the 60s and flower power with this one.

THE BOOMTOWN RATS - Rat Trap

This is cool. First birds (above video) and now rats!

THE BANGLES - Manic Monday

Back to the 80s with this... it's a Meowy Monday but a manic one for humans normally.

This is Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac fame. They were Buckingham Nicks before they were asked by Mick Fleetwood to join the band.
