Adopt a Cat #CharityTuesday

As a rescue kitty I want to help other rescue cats find their forever home, so we are continuing our new weekly feature for Charity Tuesday, sharing adoptable cats from Wood Green, the Animal Charity (which is where I was rescued). We are so grateful to this amazing charity because without them we would never have found each other! It's also one of the main charities we support.

Here is a video of sweet 9-year-old Mitten, who is still waiting for a new home. We've featured her once before on this blog and as you can see, she's just lovely.

She'd really like you to check out her video below so she can show you what a special cat she is!

Sunday Selfie and Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day

Happy Sunday Selfie!

We're currently in the middle of another heatwave in London and all I can do is sleep so I'm afraid I fell asleep trying to take my selfie today.

We just found out that today is also Rainbow Bridge Rememberance Day,

So we are remembering Suzy and Molly.

Suzy was Mum's cat when she was younger. More of a family cat who came into Mum's life when she was 19 and stayed until Mum was 32. Suzy was the most beautiful black and white (tuxedo) cat and very affectionate, just like me. Mum wrote about Suzy in her memoir The Cat Years: How My Cat Soulmates Saved Me.

Molly is my Uncle John's cat who recently crossed the bridge. It was actually just 2 months ago. I never met her because she lived in Sweden but Mum met her many times and said she was a very sweet kitty who always looked forward to Mum's visits. Mum always looked forward to seeing her too because before she rescued me in 2011, she hadn't had a cat companion since Suzy passed.

Throwback Thursday: The Kitten and the Hairdryer #TBT

Throwback Thursday to this video of me as a cute kitten watching Mum drying her hair with the hairdryer. I wasn't scared, I just found it intriguing :)

We are so grateful to this amazing charity because without them we would never have found each other! It's also one of the main charities we support.

Today we are sharing this video of Jack, who is still waiting for his forever home.

He seems to be overlooked and it's not fair that this sweet cat hasn't had any luck in finding a forever home yet.

OK, he may be a senior cat, but he still deserves a loving forever retirement home. He can be a little shy at first, but according to his profile at Wood Green, once settled in, he can be a really affectionate boy who likes to sit on your lap.

Would you like to home a senior cat in the Heydon area?

It's World Photo Day (and Mum forgot!) #worldphotoday

We only just heard it's World Photo Day so I told Mum she MUST upload some photos of me. She is a bit lazy, said we don't normally post on Friday's but I said she must, after all, she is photography obsessed!

So here we have some of our favourite photos of myself, taken by Mum, who has been practising for 3 years now on the flashy camera (Canon 600D) she bought back in 2013 and so now she is proud to call herself a cat photographer (hopefully pet photographer one day soon - though she only takes photos of cats right now).

She hopes to go professional one of these days. But right now she is so busy writing and running two blogs, and learning lots of new stuff. She is always learning something!

And you know what? Guess who inspried her to do most of those things?

That's right. ME!

We are so grateful to this amazing charity because without them we would never have found each other! It's also one of the main charities we support.

Here's a couple of great kitties who are best friends looking to find a forever home together.

GUSTAF (photo: Wood Green)
GRACIE (photo: Wood Green)

Gustaf and Gracie are two lovely cats who both enjoy a lot of fuss and attention. They are both really close and just love to cuddle in bed together and even wash each other! If you are looking to home two cats who are as sweet and loveable as these two then maybe these are the cats for you.

Find out more about them by clicking on their individual names above.

Caturday Art: Prisma Fun

Happy Caturday!

We're sure you've all heard of Prisma right? We think the majority of you have, and we're a bit late to the party (always the case with my mum - always hesitant to try out new things).

Anyway, I LOVE it. And so does Mum!

What's not to love? Just LOOK at these amazing pics!

Such great art, so EASY to create.

That's why we are sharing a few versions of the same photo with you today for Caturday Art. Don't forget to tell us which one you like best!

Wordless Wednesday: Hiding From Supervet #WednesdayWisdom

Mum's super excited that Supervet is back tomorrow with a new series. She loves that man and what he does for animals (and she has a crush on him just like thousands of other women it seems.)

But I won't be watching.

wisdom wednesday

Why?

Well, obviously it's because he's a vet and vets are scary aren't they? So while Mum has her eyes glued to the screens (or not, because she's squeamish and keeps turning away during gory surgical scenes), I'll be hiding under the table and napping away, trying to ignore Mum's oohing and awwing (at the furries, not the vet.)

He's a nice man, though. I can see the appeal. And he seems the most kindest vet I've ever seen (though of course I have never met him personally.) He looks like he really loves animals and the pets that he cares for. From what I've seen on TV (or Mum has), his passion for his work and for animals is undeniable, and he clearly has a big heart and is ever so caring towards the anxious pet mums and dads. Definitely a true hero in the eyes of many who understand the amazing bond that exists between pets and humans, and the unconditonal love.

And you know what? I do think meeting him would be fun, but not as a patient! Oh, please, no! I think he is a good hugger, but probably not as good as my mum when she hugs me. (She only likes to hug me though as she's not much good with humans.) That's just the way I like it too. She shouldn't really be hugging any humans anyway, and if I ever see her hugging another cat, the other cat better watch it!

Supervet says some great things about animals and of course that is another reason to love him. Here is one such quote:

You know what? I'd love to interview him for this blog. It would be fun, don't you think?

So Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, would you like to do an interview with us? Have you ever done an interview for a cat blog? An interview with a cat, even? Oh, go on, it would make my mum ever so happy, and she really needs cheering up right now. And look at me, I am such a pretty kitty, a wise cat goddess, how could you resist? You cannot say NO to a feline goddess!
