Meow Music Monday: Happy New Year!

ENJOY!

I chose this video for all my blog friends, but also to cheer up my mum.

She always gets sad around this time of the year because she feels the years are just flying by so fast and she's not getting any younger. She worries about the future a lot and about her unfulfilled dreams.

Guess what I tell her? Don't waste precious moments by thinking about tomorrow. Be like a cat. Live in the moment!

Problem with my dear mum is that she has the tendency to over-think things and then gets in a panic about everything. I suppose many humans are like that, aren't they?

Easy Like Sunday

Feeling quite cold today but laying down on my mum's Nightwish hoodie keeps me nice and warm.

Around this time of the day my mum likes to do an hour or so of singing. Though she is busy doing other things these days, she still loves to sing.

So while she's upstairs practicing I take pleasure in a nice nap before lunchtime.

It doesn't take long to do either and it's so inspiring. And we reckon many of you love being creative, don't you?

Let me introduce you to Graham. Graham is a ginger-and-white tom cat who loves going shopping. Not exactly shopping but he enjoys hanging out at his local Pets at Home store in Lincolnshire, UK.

Not quite wordless, just sharing some recent photos of my mum and me.

For those that don't know, my mum is a writer and has her own cat blog . It's a blog about cats mainly but also the welfare of all animals as well as sharing her pet photography (well, photos of me mainly). She's all new to photography so she uses me to practice on and she says I am the purrfect model. I have to agree!

Meow Music Monday

What is it with humans and music?

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with music as I like a good tune too, but what I mean is why do people act crazy and jump up and down manically, or headbang, or even worse, dance.

Music doesn't have that affect on us kitties, right?

What I wanted to say in this post is that my mum has been ignoring me ever since she got this DVD of her favourite band Nightwish. She watches it every day (and I even catch her watching on her computer when she's meant to be working or writing).

I don't get enough cuddles and attention since she got it. I don't mind the music as I quite like it too (though not too loud because of my sensitive ears). I can't help it, I want my mum's attention every minute of the day. That's why I am at her side even when she is at the computer. I like to sleep nearby on the bed. 

Sometimes she takes an afternoon nap with me but lately she hasn't been doing that  either as she says she's always busy. And what happens to her when she's busy? She gets all stressy, that's what. Mum really needs to learn to be a cat. In some ways she is, but when it comes to keeping calm, she isn't.

I know this video doesn't have anything to do with cats but I wanted to share it and have a bit of a Monday moan. It is a good tune, and I do love to see my mum happy and enjoying herself when she watches the DVD.

What I would like to hear is some nice relaxing music for cats. I heard there's some about and I'm off to look on YouTube right now and will post my finds next time.

I'm snuggled up with my mum in bed. You can tell from my face that I want her to turn off her Kindle so we can finally go to sleep. But my mum is always reading. She never stops!

Christmas Is Coming

So Christmas is coming very soon and the other day my mum began to put some decorations up (though not too many because some Xmas decorations can be harmful to cats).

Here I am inspecting this angel mobile before it goes up. It's my mum's favourite because it is a gift from her brother who now lives in Sweden and it's also quite unusual. Plus, my mum loves angels and says I'm one too :)
