Flashback Feline Friday

Happy Feline Friday!

Today we thought we'd have a flashback to 2018 and share this pic of me on my Catit Vesper Cubo Tower. I wrote a review about it here if you remember.

Mum also made it arty today because she felt the need to. I think it looks fab.

Talking of artsy photos, don't forget to join my Caturday Art Blog Hop tomorrow!

Just have fun with your animal photos (not just cats) and make them arty using any app you can find, or create pet art with whatever method you like. Just don't harm any animal in the process, OK?

I told Mum to include a flashback video of me too. This is me as a kitten back in 2011. As you can see I'm having a good clean.

MARIE

1. June is a good month to do some gardening, as long as it's not too hot, which it isn't right now.
2. I love to play music when I'm angry or stressed. Heavy Metal is great for this. I don't headbang, but I used to a long time ago.
3. I’m not ashamed to admit that I can be really moody at times.
4. I’d rather not go shopping. I prefer to do it online. Since lockdown, I've only been to the supermarket once and it was so stressful that I panicked and said I'd never go again. Now that lockdown is being eased I'm still frightened to go out.

ATHENA

1. June is a good month to watch the birdies through the window.
2. I love to play at night after Mum gets into bed.
3. I’m not ashamed to admit I'm a naughty girl sometimes and like to tease Mum.
4. I’d rather not share my home with other cats or pets.

Marie: Aww... I just wanna hug this little kitten.
Athena: Wouldn't you rather hug me, instead?
Marie: I'm always hugging you, sweetie.
Athena: I hope you ain't getting broody for another kitten.
Marie: You will always be my baby, Athena. Come 'ere and let me give you a big kiss! xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Throwback Thursday

It's been a while since we posted a throwback photo here. This is me as a very young kitten back in 2011. Mum says I reminded her of a little fox cub when she first saw me. She says it's because I had a very thin pointed face with big pointy ears. I know I was quite thin, but I soon put on weight!

Sorry for the blurriness of this photo. It was taken on my mum's old mobile phone and the quality wasn't that great.

Kitten Dumped on Doorstep (reminds me of what happened to me) :( :(

Just saw this video with my mum and it broke our hearts (and brought back horrible memoires for me). A little kitten was dumped (in a box) on the Wood Green Shelter doorstep (the shelter I came from). To make things worse, the woman seen here dumped the poor thing at night (9.30pm). Luckily, the charity's security team had been alerted via CCTV. We dread to think what would have happened to the kitten if this hadn't been so.

Really really hope that this kitty is as lucky as I was and gets the loving forever home she deserves!

My Gotcha Day!

That's right. Today it's been exactly two years since I was adopted by my mum Marie. It doesn't seem that long ago but it has been amazing because, though it may seem like she rescued me, in actual fact we rescued each other.

Mum wrote about this in her memoir The Cat Years and in this blog post, and I wrote about it in my new book A Forever Home for Athena.

Here are some pics of me on my first day in my new home.
