Rocktober: 1960s Rock Songs #MewsicMovesMe #RocktoberMusicFest2020
Happy Mewsic Monday!
Mum and I are celebrating Rock Music today and joining Mary at JingleJangleJungle for the Rocktober Music Fest.
Here are the most classic and iconic rock songs of the 1960s, which is Mum's fave decade She says that the Sixties were sure swinging and rocking with the bestest rock songs and it was also the beginning of metal. Yeah, Mum is a bit of a metalhead as well. Luckily, she plays heavy metal in her headphones mostly so she doesn't bother me. I don't mind some of the following songs though. They are quite good tunes. Quite energetic for the mad half-hour at bedtime!

Happy Belated Mother's Day to those of you who celebrated yesterday.
Mother's Day UK was back in March so we've already celebrated!
So songs about Mothers is the theme for Mewsic Moves Me today, as chosen by this month's

Elvis lost his beloved mother when he was in his early 20s and just starting out in his career.
This emotional track is a tribute to the band's parents. It is indeed very moving.
Like Elvis, John Lennon lost his mother when he was very young. He was just 17 when his mother Julia was tragically killed by a drunk driver.

The first track is the obvious choice for Mum Marie.
Fun fact: My mum's birth name is Maria but she's never felt at home with it. It just doesn't resonate with her, and Marie does. Even at school people called her Marie and not Maria, so it stuck. It's the same name anyway - Marie is the French form of Maria and Mary.

Mewsic Monday - Music from Four Decades
Happy Monday
It's our own music choice today but Mum has, in fact, come up with a theme of throwback music videos from 4 decades. These are all favourite songs of Mum's. She was born in 1966, so here are the Beatles first from that year.

From 1986 - the 80s were her decade she says

And the 90s weren't that great for her Mum says but there were some good tunes around like this one. Mum says she remembers dancing to this during her clubbing days (though she can't remember much from that time MOL)
