Instagram Flashback Feline Friday and Friendly Fill-Ins

We hope you are all doing fine.

And we hope Mother Earth and all of Nature will still be fine now that most of the humans are being eased out of lockdown.

How safe will everyone be? Who knows? Mum and I think it's too early here in England.

I wish Larry was PM as he has more sense than any of the humans at that place.

Mum made this little collage of me from 2018. 
It was the year we moved to our new house in Essex!
We love it here because it's so much quieter than in London, where we lived previously.
We can't believe we've been here two years already!





And here's one of our favourites from 2018. It was during the heatwave and Mum and I just lay on the bed all day.

1. I need a bar of chocolate and a coffee right now.
2. One nice thing about staying home is being with my furbaby all day long.
3. A hug with Athena instantly makes my day better.
4. When someone disagrees with me, I lose it big time. Not always, but if it's something that really touches a raw nerve I can really let rip and start shouting. I don't want to be this way and I am learning to keep calmer these days. If it's anything about animal rights I find it hard to remain calm, though.

ATHENA
1. I need a hug from Mum again and a bit more food to eat this morning.
2. One nice thing about staying home is having Mum at my beck and call all the time.
3. Cuddles with Mum instantly makes my day better.
4. When someone disagrees with me, I thump my paws hard on the wardrobe doors.

Human-Animal Relationship Awareness Week #FlashbackFriday

Happy Feline Friday!


 For #HumanAnimalRelationshipAwarenessWeek we thought we'd do a quick Flashback Friday post featuring selfies of me with my mum.

For those who are visiting for the first time, this rescue cat met her human mum back in 2011 at Wood Green, The Animal Charity and we knew we were meant for each other. It WAS love at first sight 💕
I jumped into Mum's arms and that was that. From the very first day that I arrived in my forever home I leaped out of my carrier and filled my small belly with the kitten food Mum provided for me. I looked around my new surroundings but to me they didn't feel new or scary at all. 

 I let Mum pick me up and cuddle me from the very start and as soon as she sat down I jumped onto her lap and started purring. 

 Even though I was socialised by my carers at Wood Green before I was put up for adoption at 10 weeks old it wasn't the only reason I felt at ease with my new family and home. I'd known Mum before in a past life. For those who don't believe, well, that's up to you. But there is a deep soul-connection with me and my Mum!

 And as Mum would put it: Meow Love is the Best Love 💓



You may or not have seen this photo before but here it is and Mum made three different versions because she likes to play around with effects and filters!

1. I have been hoping for earnings to come my way from my books and designs for years and years and I'm fed up and tired that it comes easy to others and not for me. I'm not a young woman anymore and I feel that time is running out. I am writing this in my morning mood and it's always negative but sometimes negative is being realistic. Sometimes thinking positive just doesn't work. 

 2. Have you ever felt you don't belong here? I do. I've always felt different and that I don't belong in this world. 

 3. I always love this time of year but it also makes me feel sad that another year has gone by so quickly. Quicker and quicker as I get older it seems.

4. The world could use more feline leaders! Larry for Prime Minister! I could be a leader too of course, but I don't do politics. I'm more happy being a meowdel and Internet star and being a voice for homeless pets all over the world.

Flashback Friday: Better Late Than Never

I had to remind Mum to post today. "Hey, Mum," I said as she was having a cuppa and reading about Larry the Downing Street Cat on the laptop. "You do realise that you've forgotten to do my Flashback Friday Instagram post today, don't you?"

 Honestly, she's been so far away in her head lately. I don't know what's wrong with her! Old age maybe? She's not young anymore. She's at that age when, well, ladies will know what I mean. But it's not just that. It's also the fact that we're still trying to sell our house to move out of London. It's so hard, and Mum is dealing with so much stuff. She's not good at dealing with lots of stuff. She gets overwhelmed. And she stresses big time. I've noticed she is not as stressed as she used to be though, so I suppose she's getting more used to doing things she hates doing because she's an adult. I really believe my mum never grew up or doesn't want to!

 Anyway, I know how to keep her in check. Everyone needs a wise cat at their side, don't they?

Caturday Art: UK General Election 2017

HAPPY CATURDAY! 


  So we in the UK are having a General Election on the 8th June.

 Mum thinks a cat would do a better job at running this country and has created this graphic of me. She used LunaPic, and the frame is from some other photo editor (she can't remember which).



I think I would do great living at NO 10. And not as a mouser like the already resident cat, Larry, but as PM. But I am too much of a celebrity cat in my own right and a goddess too so I'm too busy for politics, but hey, why don't we all vote for Larry instead!
