Long Neck Sunday Selfie
Good selfie, but it could also be our Pet Photo Fail because Mum's hair got in the way and my neck looks like a giraffe's!
Anyway, today I'm taking care of Mum as she remembers her other soulmate kitty, Suzy, who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge in 1998. Mum got her as a tiny kitty back in 1985.
Give my mum a visit on Purrs Full of Love to read more about beautiful, sweet Suzy. I know it's not right to feel jealous on a day like today, and of course I don't. My mum has a big heart when it comes to animals. Suzy looks like a sweet kitty. I'm glad she made my mum happy.

1. The grossest food I ever ate was meat. I went veggie when I was 18 and was healthy I thought but I became anaemic at 36 because of my inherited blood disorder and probably the boozing I had done for years before that, not because of what I ate. But I got scared and had everyone telling me to eat meat so I gave in. When you anaemic you feel light headed and tired all the time. I panicked I would faint so I started eating lamb's liver and chicken. I feel sick now thinking about it as a vegan (since 2014).2. The best tasting food I ever had was a lentil and cheese bake that I make myself.
3. I should probably give up chocolate, but I won’t. I can't drink alcohol anymore so what else do I have?
4. If I could have an unlimited supply of one item, I would pick chocolate and cat food. I'd hate to run out of Athena's cat food, which I buy online and it's from Germany. Only good quality food for Athena!
Athena
1. The grossest food I ever ate was some renal food the vet told Mum to give me. It was crap. Mum found Kattovit, much better!2. The best tasting food I ever had was boiled chicken. I can't get enough!
3. I should probably not eat so much, but I won’t.
4. If I could have an unlimited supply of one item, I would pick chicken.

Cat World Domination Day #CaturdayArt
For Caturday Art Mum used the polyart effect in BeFunky. It's made the pale blue wall behind me pinky and I'm kind of pink toned too 😻
June 24 is Cat World Domination Day and so we are celebrating with the lovely Summer and all our fab feline furriends.
Mum says she was too busy to create a globe graphic for Cat World Domination Day so she stamped this one from a few years back over my photo above.
Of course everyone knows cats already rule the world, but we might as well have a day in honour of feline power just to remind some people!

Yawning Big #WhiskersWednesday
I woke up and looked at Mum who was trying to take a photo of me napping. I yawned big. My whiskers look cool though so thought I'd share for today's post.

Cooling Off Sunday Selfie
We had a couple of very hot days but now it seems cooler so I can take it easy. We hate feeling too hot, especially Mum. Imagine if she had fur?

Marie
1. A product I would endorse is Faith In Nature Coconut Shampoo (vegan and cruelty-free). I love it, and though slightly expensive, it seems to last a long time and I don't even need a conditioner! Leaves my hair looking healthy and shiny, and it smells good too.
2. If I had a boat, I would name it The Feline.
3. _________ was one of the first times I truly felt like a responsible adult. No answer because at the age of 55 I still feel like a kid.
4. I struggle with change most especially when it relates to everything. Having to live with constant anxiety I tend to fear the worst and sudden change really affects me.
Athena
1. A product I would endorse is Rosie's Farm Senior Chicken and Salmon.
2. If I had a boat, I would name it Athena Cat Goddess of course!
3. _________ was one of the first times I truly felt like a responsible adult. I am a baby and my mum treats me like one and as long as I have her I don't have to act like a responsible adult!
4. I struggle with change most especially when it relates to strangers coming into the home. Mum is the same.

Time for a Nap #SundaySelfie

Marie
1. If my life could have a rewind or pause button, I would choose both but only for a while. Rewind to 2011 when I adopted Athena and a pause button to pause life for a while. I'm stressing out and panicking because I'm sure time has speeded up over the past 20 years. Or am I just getting old?
2. I think a reality show about an animal healer and cats would be interesting. Or a cat photographer?
3. If my life had a soundtrack, it would include a lot of rock, blues, grunge and symphonic metal. Maybe some classical as well. I listen to different genres of music depending what mood I'm in. Lately, I have returned to the grunge era because for me it's cathartic. I currently listen to Soundgarden and Pearl Jam a lot, just like I did in the 90s - during what I call my wild years. Yeah, introverts have them too!
4. My personal style could best be described as comfy and casual. If I'm going out (which is rare these days) I would dress up a bit. I wear a lot of black and always have done (apart from during my teenage years in the 80s.)
Athena
1. If my life could have a rewind or pause button, I would choose rewind to when i was a kitten and got adopted. Like Mum I want to pause time and enjoy the present. But us cats do just live in the moment anyway.
2. I think a reality show about singing cats would be interesting. But another idea is Mum and I would love a cat version of The Dog House, which is an amazing show about Wood Green (the charity that rescued me). A fantastic new cat centre has been built on the site in Cambridge where The Dog House is filmed and it's about time a cat version is made (hear that Channel 4?) By the way, the original Wood Green cat rescue site in Wood Green, North London (where Mum got me), sadly closed down in 2020. It had been there since 1924 when it was founded byMiss Louisa Snow.
3. If my life had a soundtrack, it would include what Mum listens too. As she doesn't want to disturb me she listens to music through headphones at her computer when she's working and I can hear it a bit.
4. My personal style could best be described as natural. I'm a cat and was born with the best fashion taste and natural beauty.

We had some warm sunshine this week so I got to sunbathe in the catio. There was a nice fresh breeze and birdies in the blue sky, perched on terracota coloured rooftops.
Couldn't catch them of course!
