Snow Is Melting #SundaySelfie

As you can see I'm freezing my butt off here to take this selfie. OK, it isn't Mum's fault as I wanted to go out into the catio. I didn't stay long as I don't do cold so I soon darted back inside.

This selfie was take yesterday morning. It did look as if the snow had started to melt. 
 Update: As we are getting ready to post this, early Sunday evening in the UK, it has started to rain. So it is getting slightly warmer. It's turning all slushy out there but I don't need to be out in it so that's OK.  Hope none of you guys are out in horrible weather.

4. Others might be surprised to know that I don't understand all the fuss over/for Christmas. It's just another day. Sorry guys, I am certainly not feeling at all Christmassy this year. Grief does that to you. I miss my brother. I didn't mean to depress you all.

3. Feeling cold is my least favorite thing on my holiday to-do list. I don't have a holiday to-do list and neither does Mum this year. She is grieving for her brother, as you know. And sinking lower into depression. I am purring for her and making her smile with my silly antics.

4. Others might be surprised to know that I don't really care for Christmas. I'm a cat. We're not religious. Mum and Granny are Christians but obviously no celebration this year. Mum's never liked Christmas (especially the commercialism of it). She tells me that she and her brother never had happy Christmas memories because all they remembered was the bad atmosphere between their parents.

Still Freezing Here #CaturdayArt

We had lots of snow in Essex, England this week. It's too cold for me. All I want to do is find places in the house to make myself warm. Even with the heating on I feel the cold. Mum says we're not cold compared to all the other poor cats, animals and some humans out there that don't have a roof over their heads and somewhere warm and cosy to sleep.

I sleep on the bed, obiously. On Mum mostly, and also in front of the central heating radiators. Mum bought me a heating mat but it looks kind of weird to me. She's been trying to get me to sit on it but I'm having none of it. My granny uses it to warm her back when she's sitting on the sofa instead.

Winter Sunday Selfies

Happy Sunday!

It's cold and I'm snuggling up on the sofa cushion to keep warm. I hope you are keeping snuggly and warm too if it's cold where you are.

If I look 😿 it's because I do not like the cold. Mum's weird because she likes it.
Don't worry though, she keeps the house warm with the central heating. She says it's not as cold as it is in some parts of the world. We haven't had any snow yet. 

To brighten the day up a bit Mum wanted to share an artsy version of the above pic.

Sunday Cold Morning Selfie

Happy Sunday!

I'm not so happy because it's cold. So cold that I didn't want to get up this morning and just wanted to snuggle up with Mum in bed.

But as you can see here, Mum made herself get up and the first thing she did was help me take this selfie.

Yeah, the goddess looks grumpy 😾

Caturday Art: Winter is Here

HAPPY CATURDAY!

It looks like winter is here in the UK. We had some frosty nights and mornings. I don't mind when the central heating is on because I just seek out the radiator and sleep next to it. But mostly I seek out Mum's lap and just leap onto it. Doesn't matter if she's busy, I insist she stops and takes care of me!

Mum added a wintery feel to this photo of me posing on my scratching post/tree.

I love my scratching tree. It's tall and almost touches the ceiling and I have a great vantage point over the garden as I stalk the birdies from behind the patio door. Shame I can't catch them. 

I'm not looking in that direction here though. I'm facing the other way just pretending to be looking at something. I always do that when I want to pose for Mum. I hate looking into the camera lens.

Caturday Art

Happy Caturday!

Mum loves snow. Me, I'm not really sure. To be honest I have only seen a thick blanket of snow only once in my 4-and-a-half years. It was during my first winter of 2011/12. When she saw all the snow falling Mum got all excited like a kid and took me for a walk in the garden. However, I was really puzzled and hated the way it felt under my paws. She immediately realised this of course and took me straight back indoors.  

These days Mum keeps complaining that we haven't had a proper autumn or winter in London for years as it's been too mild, and now it's almost Christmas and it's still too mild. Temperatures are in double figures she tells me. Like today it's 13 °C.

So what does a sweet kitty like me do?  Well, I decided I had to cheer Mum up so I suggested she add a wintery effect to my Caturday Art participation today. And so here it is. I'm just glad she didn't add a woolly had and scarf (it would have been a virtual hat and scarf but still, it would look so ridiculous on me!)

OK, it may look as if I am freezing my butt off here but I can assure you that I am not. My mum would never do anything so cruel to me. She may love the cold (I know, weird!) but I don't.

This cat art pic today was created using both PicMonkey and Fotor. Mum was going to go with an autumn feel to the pic but instead she got carried away with this frosty flaky wintery pic instead. I think she is missing real snow as it hardly ever snows in London anymore. Personally, I think it should stay away for good.
