Sunny Morning Sunday Selfie and Friendly Fill-Ins

Yesterday morning we finally had some sunshine after a week of wind and showers. It was time to step out into the catio.

To breathe in some lovely fresh air...

Mum enjoyed a cup of tea

while I enjoyed some cat grass.

Then the sun was getting warmer so I sunbathed on one of the shelves made just for me

1. I love it when I sleep with Mum on the bed. I  also love it when she combs my furs and gives me Reiki when I need it. She kisses my forehead too which is just lovely. 
2. I know it's time to go to bed when Mum turns off the TV at night and takes my mug of water up to our bedroom.
3. Others come to me when they need comfort and hugs or a smile.
4. We should never take our mums and dads for granted.

It's Go Birding Day and Mum and I are celebrating in different ways.

I'm watching of course... watching and wishing...

Stuck behind the window watching birdies in the street.

Nature lover and animal lover Mum's ideal Go Birding Day would be photographing the lovely birds in the garden, admiring their beauty and sending peaceful loving thoughts and love to them.

As for me, I'm watching and watching and thinking.... well you know what I'm thinking, kitties!

Does this mean Mum loves me less? I doubt that very much!

Originally, Mum wanted to snap a photo of one of our birdie visitors but she hasn't managed to do that as by the time she picks up her smartphone or goes to find her camera the birdie has vanished (nothing to do with me!) So because we needed a bird photo for this post I suggested to Mum to look online for some cat and bird art in the public domain she could share. 

She couldn't find anything suitable so went to search on Zazzle and found this vintage art featuring a cat playing the violin to the birdies. Peace-loving Mum thinks it's sweet but I think the cat has sinister intentions, don't you?

Caturday Art: Superphoto Saturday

HAPPY CATURDAY!

Hope you are all keeping well. This weather is getting silly. One minute freezing cold and the next stormy, wet, mild and wild!

January is a boring month and it's always a struggle to get back into the swing of things after the Christmas holidays. For us kitties, it's just another month of the same old same old, but for humans, it really is hard to get back to normality. Especially since most of you have overindulged in the evil stuff that is definitely bad for you. For someone like my mum, that means lots of wine and chocolate.

So that's why she is doing Dry January. I will tell you more about it tomorrow.

In the meantime, here's my photo art for today. Mum used the painting effect in the free version of SuperPhoto and added the frame in BeFunky.

Caturday Art: Winter is Here

HAPPY CATURDAY!

It looks like winter is here in the UK. We had some frosty nights and mornings. I don't mind when the central heating is on because I just seek out the radiator and sleep next to it. But mostly I seek out Mum's lap and just leap onto it. Doesn't matter if she's busy, I insist she stops and takes care of me!

Mum added a wintery feel to this photo of me posing on my scratching post/tree.

I love my scratching tree. It's tall and almost touches the ceiling and I have a great vantage point over the garden as I stalk the birdies from behind the patio door. Shame I can't catch them. 

I'm not looking in that direction here though. I'm facing the other way just pretending to be looking at something. I always do that when I want to pose for Mum. I hate looking into the camera lens.
