I've Finally Got a Catio!

We're running late with the blogging of late so here's a quick post to tell you all that I finally have a catio!

Mum has been busy making it nice for me and hasn't had much time to post or comment on any blogs lately. In fact, she has been pretty slow on the blogging side in case anyone's missing us. But anyway, here's some catio pics for you. Mum is also busy making a video of my catio adventure which you will be able to see soon.

Here's the catio with Gran standing at the patio door probably thinking Mum has wasted her money. I say to Gran, I love you lots but Mum can do what she likes with her money and if she wants to spoil me rotten that's her business 💚😽

Here's a side view of the catio.

And finally, the star of the show in the catio for a second time. I'm still getting used to all the sounds and smells as you can see. Lots of birdies tweeting merrily away up in the trees. Mmm...

Mum placed some of my kitty grass on one of the catio shelves. You can see it behind me.

Look out for more catio pics plus a video soon!

#WhiskersWednesday Catio Dilemma

Happy Whiskers Wednesday!

Mum and I would like to thank those of you who took the time to comment on Sunday's post. Mum had been feeling really down and worthless and so it helped her so much to read your thoughts and advice. She is kind of lonely as most of the people in her life have been toxic and she has had to cut them out for her own sanity and well-being. Kind-hearted, sensitive souls always attract these energy-suckers with their negative vibes, don't they?

Anyway, she says she is feeling better and is trying to focus on the good stuff (although it's easier said than done in her case). The new house is keeping her occupied right now.  It's looking pretty cool as you can see from most of our photos lately. The rooms have great lighting for one thing, which results in some quality photos! Before I post some Instagram updates for you today, I want to ask (well, Mum wants to ask) if those of you in the UK have had a catio installed, which company did you hire? A lot of the quotes coming back to Mum have been too expensive and as we said in our post on Sunday, Mum is having a hard time financially with not being in work due to illness. We don't even want a massive catio as our garden is quite small and we want it to be aesthetically pleasing and to look like it's part of the house. If only Mum could do it herself, but obviously she can't. So, UK cat owners (or pet parents, etc) can you recommend anyone?

She is actually worrying about it because she wants me to enjoy some fresh air (now that we finally have it because it was seriously lacking where we used to live.) We get an amazing breeze from the woodland nearby 😻

5 Catio Ideas Your Indoor Cat Will Love

5 Catio Ideas Your Indoor Cat Will Love

I am an indoor kitty and for a few years now Mum has been going on about how she will build me a catio once we move to a new house (which at the moment doesn't look like is happening anytime soon).

She's been looking at catios and cat enclosures online but they seem to be really expensive. Building one would be cheaper but she's not into DIY. There are also companies that will do it for you but again, maybe too expensive for us as I am not earning the money I should be as a cat model, influencer or ambassador. Yeah, it seems I will never be a famous kitty like some :(

Nevermind, I have all I need in life to be happy💚

So, here is a small selection of catio and enclosure ideas Mum found on Amazon UK. Now, if I had one of those it would be just pawsome!  If you have an indoor cat and want to let them safely outdoors for some fresh air, now is the time to start looking because spring is just around the corner!

The following are affiliate links so that means that if you make a purchase via them we will earn a small commission, just enough to buy me some treats maybe?

The Cat is Nature's Beauty #WednesdayWisdom

This photo was taken when I was only 7 months old. It's one of Mum's favourites and she thought of this old French proverb would work well with it.

The cat is nature's beauty

I have a harness on as you can see. Mum used to take me out for walks around our back garden and everything was fine but then one day I saw one of the intruder cats, the bully tabby who thinks he owns the place. I first met him when I was a tiny kitten.

This time when I saw him, I was a bit older and I just went for him. I just flew out of the harness and Mum panicked, we all panicked, and in all the wild frenzy I scratched Mum on the arm and she bled.

Ever since that day, Mum won't let me out in the harness. She takes me out for some fresh air but I am in my carrier so it's no fun really.

Mum is desperate to get me a catio to protect me so I can enjoy the outdoors safely. But she says she can't get one built yet because we are still going to move house and once we do, we'll get one. We are thinking of using Protect a Pet. But the thing is, we need that new house. And as you may already know as we mentioned it before, we're having trouble finding one. We almost moved last year but it all fell through.

Let's hope we move soon and we can have that catio!
