Charity Tuesday: Tabby Cats to Adopt #tabbytuesday

As Tuesday is also Tabby Tuesday we thought we'd feature some tabby cats that need re-homing.

First, we have the lovely SUZIE for you, who is at Wood Green, The Animals Charity (the UK animal charity that I was adopted from in London).

SUZIE (Photo: Wood Green website)

Beautiful 12-year-old Suzie was admitted to the Wood Green Godmanchester shelter in June 2019 and needs to be rehomed with stunning black kitty, Alice.

These gentle cats are both very worried after been taken to the centre after living in their owners' home for 12 years. They tell me they "enjoy spending time pottering about outside and really like their food" They also say that they "like to be around people but don't always like hands-on contact, they just need time to adjust and settle."

Next, we have Greek cats JACK and DANIEL who are at Nine Lives Greece

JACK and DANIEL (Photo: Nine Lives Greece)

From the Nine Lives Greece website:

Jack and Daniel are 2 very handsome, strong tiger cats around 2 years old. Jack is more social and cuddly, rolling over happily, while Daniel, with the fluffy tail, is cautious and needs time to get used to new people. They were found as kittens with bad eye infections. After being treated and cared for, they grew up to become the big healthy tabbies they are now. The brothers have a strong bond. They are very playful and active, and a joy to watch when they are together. These boisterous boys would love to live in a home with a garden if it has a fence. They have been neutered and vaccinated.

Overlooked cats

Sadly, there are so many overlooked cats urgently needing forever homes everywhere. Here is a list of UK rescue shelters and charities from the cat rescue resource CatChat.org, with details of harder to home senior cats, black cats, special needs cats, FIV+ cats and feral/farm cats.

More homeless pets looking for forever homes can be found on my Mum's Pinterest Pet Rescue board.
Disclosure: I received no compensation for this post. As a rescue kitty myself I want to help other rescues find their forever home, so each week on Charity Tuesday I share adoptable cats from Wood Green, the Animals Charity (which is where I was rescued) and some other charities dear to our hearts. Mum and I are so grateful to Wood Green because without them we would never have found each other!

I hope they will all find a forever home soon. We have a shelter here in Waterloo too.

So many kitties, so little time. I was confused at first when you mentioned Suzie, because I remember your Mum had a cat by the same name.
