Taking a Blogging Break for a Few Days

It's been a rough week for Mum and so she's taking a blogging break for a few days. This means unfortunately that tomorrow's Caturday Art Blog Hop has been cancelled.

We are so sorry to disappoint, but as many of you know, it's all been getting a bit too much for my mum and she's been struggling a lot lately for various reasons. She just wants to take a few days off to think more clearly about certain personal stuff going on in her life right now. She has some decisions to make regarding a few things.

BUT THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BLOGGING THOUGH.

She is not about to give that up. It's one of the things that keeps her going (and me of course). It's just that she hasn't been able to focus much on anything lately.

And her computer has been acting up again, so she is trying to sort that out too. The house selling has been nothing but a nightmare so far as well. And she needs to focus on what to do next because that's what has been getting her down the most.

So, I suggested a few days off to recharge her batteries. And of course, I am looking after her. I am making sure she gets all the rest she needs and I am by her side all the time, purring and snuggling with her. I've even started to chase after the red dot at night just to make her laugh.

Hope you understand 😽

Here are a few of my photos from the past week on Instagram.

Take care of your mum, Athena...and we all understand COMPLETELY! Some quiet time to mull, and breathe, and dream is good.

Sending hugs. I wish we lived closer so I could deliver them in person (okay, okay ... I'd have another motivation too - meeting the beautiful Athena in catson). We love you both - and I've always felt a special connection to you both because I understand how a cat can save one's life (Bear is to me what Athena is to you) - it's a beautiful connection.

A respite from some of our more flexible "obligations" is always good for us.

We'll miss the hop, but it's far more important for your mum to have a break. I know what it is to be so overwhelmed with "stuff" that you feel like you can't even move. Take good care of your mum--We are sending lots of purrs and great big hugs!!

Thank you. Yes, during the last few days my depression just took over and all I wanted to do was hide in my room with Athena. I get like that sometimes. Thanks to the rest and Athena's healing purrs and love I am feeling a bit better now.

Thank you. Athena is taking great care of me. If only I could surround myself with only cats I'm sure I'd be a lot happier. Most people just get on my nerves.

We sold our house a year and a half ago, and it was a complete nightmare. I think it was one of the most stressful times of my life. I hope you get through it OK. All this time later, even though I'm still a bit bitter about how it all went, we are very happy where we are. We hope it works out the same for you - hang in there.
