Help Save Cat Shelter & Forever Home Wanted for 2 Sisters #charitytuesday

Before we go on to our regular Charity Tuesday feature, we would like to share this story about Animal Aid, a cat re-homing centre based in Liverpool, UK. The rescue shelter takes in hundreds of cats a year and has been doing so at the site for over 20 years. But recently, the charity workers were horrified to hear that the building they rented was to be auctioned off in just two days. The only way they could stop this from happening was by purchasing the site themselves.

After paying 10% upfront, they now desperately need to find the rest (£20,000) by the end of next month or the building will be up for auction.

We first heard about this story on Twitter and it deeply saddened us, so we've been sharing and tweeting, hoping to raise awareness and get this charity the help it deserves. Those poor kitties!

If you want to donate to the Gofundme fundraising campaign, details are below. Or if you can't donate, please share far and wide wherever you can.

Disclosure: I received no compensation for this post. As a rescue kitty myself I want to help other rescues find their forever home, so each week on Charity Tuesday I share adoptable cats from Wood Green, the Animals Charity (which is where I was rescued) and some other charities dear to our hearts. Mum and I are so grateful to Wood Green because without them we would never have found each other! Please note however that this post does contain some affiliate links. This means if you click on the Amazon links to purchase any of the items featured, I will receive a small affiliate commission. We are not affiliated with any charity mentioned in this post.
