National Unwanted Pet Week
"One gift, one pet, one day is all it takes to make a big difference this National Unwanted Pet Week"
Regular readers of this blog and my followers on twitter will know that I was rescued by the wonderful Wood Green the Animal Charity in the UK and Mum and I will be forever grateful to them for helping us find each other.
But the sad fact is some animals are not so lucky.
That's why, throughout this special week, Wood Green is encouraging animal lovers to pledge their support by filling in an I care card like the one below, and/or to donate a day's care to one of the 600 animals at its centres.
|I was lucky and found my forever home. I want all animals to have the same!|
From Wood Green. the Animal Charity website:"National Unwanted Pet Week (NUPW), is a time for animal-lovers to come together and show they care for the nation’s discarded pets."
"At any time Wood Green are caring for 600 unwanted pets at their centres, as well as providing
preventative advice and treatments in the community"
