#CaturdayArt: Sense of Smell Day

HAPPY CATURDAY!

Today we are celebrating Sense of Smell Day.

What smells are your favourite?

Here are my top five: 

• Mum's scent because she smells of love, comfort and safety. Plus, I always know I will be fed when she's around. 
• Bozita* Chicken. I love the smell of this delicious cat food from Sweden, and it's so tasty.
• Lavender. Mum uses lavender oil in her bath to help her relax. This means her bath towel often retains the scent. Sometimes when the towel is dry I find it folded on our bed so I like to roll about on it.
• Carrots drive me crazy too - more than catnip does!
• Birdies (yes, I love the aroma of birdie wafting through the window)

The top five smells I hate: 

• Bananas are revolting (Mum hates their awful stench too)
• Other Cats 
• Dogs
• Wine
• Coffee 

Mum used Dreamscope for my Caturday Art today. This is the Secret Garden filter. Mum said it suits today's theme purrfectly. Mum added a frame from PicMonkey*

Are you right or left pawed?

Mum says I'm left pawed, as you can see from this video of me drinking water from my own mug that I chose myself. It used to be Mum's but I kept drinking her water from it so in the end she gave it to me. I don't drink from a bowl. I don't like it. Maybe being a goddess has something to do with it :)

Meow Music Monday: Rock Cats

Well, it's Monday again, which means misery for most humans I guess. But for us kitties, well, it's just another day of eating, napping, eating, napping, causing a bit of mischief, eating, napping...

But humans have to work, don't they, and be human (I feel sorry for you, guys). My mum is always complaining about being human. She really wishes that she were a cat. She has a cat soul, that's for sure. I think it's because she was a cat in a past life. But we won't go into that now. Maybe a future post?

Anyway, here we have a cat video to cheer you up as you begin another working week. It's one that my mum found on YouTube while searching for "rock cats".

I chose this video for all my blog friends, but also to cheer up my mum.

She always gets sad around this time of the year because she feels the years are just flying by so fast and she's not getting any younger. She worries about the future a lot and about her unfulfilled dreams.

Guess what I tell her? Don't waste precious moments by thinking about tomorrow. Be like a cat. Live in the moment!

Problem with my dear mum is that she has the tendency to over-think things and then gets in a panic about everything. I suppose many humans are like that, aren't they?

Two treats for you today: A photo and a video. 

As you can see, my mum thought it would be fun to make me look all regal today. Luckily, the tiara isn't real but added on with photo editing software. 

And the video, well this is just me being naughty and making my mum laugh. She meant to capture me playing, but instead she accidentally let her camera strap loose. So what can a cat do when she sees what looks like string dangling in front of her face but attack it!

It's all a game to us, isn't it my feline fur friends?
