Pet Tarot Reading for Amber

The winner of our Pet Tarot Reading Giveaway was Basil of Basil the Bionic Cat's Blog and he requested a reading for his sister Amber. We asked if we could share the reading here and they very kindly said we could. So here it is for you all to enjoy!

Card One Represents the Past

The first card drawn is the Queen of Pentacles. This looks like a happy contented cat, finding herself in the lap of luxury. Was she a part of a large litter? I feel that she was. There is a lot of motherly energy in this card and fertility symbols. Amber sees herself as a mother or likes to mother other pets in the household. Other pets look to her as a maternal figure. Also a card of success, so if she was human, Amber would be a good business woman as she would never let any obstacle to financial freedom get in her way. She likes to keep the balance in all things. I feel she is involved in books, or she features in stories.

Card Two Represents the Present

The second card drawn is The Fool. This card signifies a leap into the unknown, a leap of faith if you like. Of showing no fear, just curiousity about everything and filled with sheer excitement about having fun. It's a card of new beginnings, of turning the page and of good things to come. The butterfly symbolizes a free spirit and the spirit itself. Also reincarnation and innocence, purity. Amber is a master of her own universe, acts on impulse and is quite the fearless one. I feel that she enjoys being a bit of a character and delights in making humans laugh.

Card Three Represents the Near Future

In this position we have The Hanged Man, a card not really as scary as it seems (or looks). Everything in this card looks chaotic, with the feeling of uncertainty and untidiness. The cat is climbing curtains and may appear distressed, but really, climbing is the cat's idea of fun, isn't it? It's what cats do. A cat may be sitting there one minute, all zen-like, and then the next minute she will be sprinting across the room having a mad moment and leaping on doors, climbing curtains, etc. There is an urgency to do other things, or simply to meditate and advance the spirit. This is a card of avoiding conflict with another. I feel Amber is like this. In her case, conflict with other cats or animals in the house. She does not like to fight, but would rather sit it out in a quiet corner, her own hideaway.

To sum up, Amber is quite the settled cat. Happy with life and her surroundings. She feels well loved and cared for and has more than she could ever wish for.

Tarot Reading For Gracie

Thank you to meowmeowmans from Animal Shelter Volunteer Life, the winner of our Pet Tarot Giveaway, for allowing us to post the recent Tarot reading we gave for lovely Gracie.

Tarot Reading For Gracie (May 14th 2015) 

Card One Represents the Past

The first card drawn is the 5 of Chalices. There were some hurdles to overcome for young Gracie. Some loss and disappointment in her young life. A sense of abandonment which made her grow up fast. A mourning of some sort. The cups that have fallen over suggest this loss, but the remaining standing cups signify hope and a better life was soon on the horizon. The river suggests this further as it relates to a sense of moving forwards to better things and a great time of change.

Card Two Represents the Present

The second card drawn is the 6 of Swords.There is the sense and thoughts of being fenced with this card. Kind of restricted in some way. But as this is a reading for a cat I am getting a sense of playfulness and enjoying fun and games in a box (what cat doesn't like that?) This card signifies an advancement to better things, showing that Gracie has found her way in life and is content in her relationships. She is in the right place at this present time. She has crossed the stormy sea and has landed ashore and has found stability in life.

Card Three Represents the Near Future

The Knight of Wands in this position shows a card of a lot of energy here. So much fire in one's belly. A sense of freedom to do what one wishes and a feeling of flight and soaring high with creativity. A soul that makes friends easily with not just her own species. Finds happiness in friendship. Excited and eager to participate in new adventures. Also a bit of a show off perhaps? High creativity and lots of projects are currently on the go. If not Gracie then people around her are finding themselves in a period of high creativity right now. Lots of ideas flying about. Too much to do and not enough time to do it.

To sum up, this reading tells me that, though there were some struggles early on in Gracie's life, she has luckily found her perfect life and enjoys it very much. She is also full of energy and loves to play. She gets on well with most animals and humans.

Cat Book and Cat Tarot

Mum wants to share these with you. She got them at Christmas and she absolutely loves them!

First, here is this amazing cat book. It's bigger than me as you can see!

It's a book called The Cat Encyclopedia and it's so heavy that Mum fears she might drop it on me so she has to be very careful when she is reading it.

This book has so many amazing feline facts. Everything is here and more. Right from the earliest history of cats on this planet to how we evolved into the domestic cats that now dominate the world.

Yes, all you need to know about cats is here. Just so much detail you probably won't get with other cat books (those that Mum has read anyway, and she's read a lot of cat books!). You will learn about cat anatomy, cat care, cat behavior, cat health and lots lots more.

My mum is fascinated by the astonishing beauty of this book and its wealth of information. Packed with stunning images and extensive details, it's a must-read and must-have for any cat lover!

Cat Tarot

And now for the Cat Tarot card deck.

One of my mum's many hobbies is the Tarot. She has been dabbling in it on and off for years. So, as a cat lover, of course, she just fell in love with this cat tarot deck. It's called the Tarot of Pagan Cats Tarot Deck.

The artwork of this deck is beautiful and Mum can't stop admiring it. She says it helps her feel better and she finds all the art and symbolism inspiring. She suddenly has so many creative ideas. Maybe it's in the cards?
