My Saturday

I woke up at 5 am and dived under the duvet to bite Mummy's toes. She let me out of her bedroom and shut the door, leaving me to my own devices. So I went downstairs to my food bowl, ate some of my dry food still left in there from the last night and drank some water too. I pushed the door to the living room open and strode over to my toy box and sank my teeth into my snake toy's cheek so as to drag it out of the box. I proceeded to drag it across the living room floor, exit the door into the hallway, up the stairs and across the landing to Mummy's bedroom door.

Then I did my little kitty-in-distress meow, which is so quiet, cute and baby-like, and works every time. It didn't this time. So I waited at the door, and decided it wouldn't be too long for Mummy to be up now so I sat outside on the landing and waited.

Granny got up first and went to the toilet. But then she went back to her room and to bed. Then I heard Mummy get up. Usually, I show how excited I am to see her and stand at her door waiting for her to open, any presents I brought for her next to me.

This time I let Snakey greet her. I was a bit angry that she hadn't let me into her room earlier.
But then Mummy smiled at me and told me good morning. She is always so happy to see me and I can't stay mad at her because I love her.

She refilled my food bowl and gave me fresh water before she made her coffee. I realize how much she loves me by that one act. She always sees to me first because I am her baby.
Then the postman came and delivered this book for Mummy. It's the autobiography of John Taylor of Duran Duran (before my time, but Mummy's favourite band when she was very young).

The rest of the day was quite nice. I watched Mummy dye her hair (or touch up her grey roots, but maybe I shouldn't say that) and then we played a bit (I played hide n' seek behind the net curtain). And then I took an afternoon nap, but before I did I did my usual search of Mummy's ceiling for any flies and moths and other insects I may miss catching whilst napping. And I know Mummy doesn't like them so in a way I'm helping her if I catch them.

Hope you are all having a nice weekend so far.
